Co-hosts and best friends Evan Davis and Eric Morgan were annoyed that Sam Coffey wasn’t going to be part of the 2023 Women’s World Cup. They wanted to listen to a podcast that could go in-depth on the tactics, the stats, and the on-field chess matches that make up modern women’s soccer. When they couldn’t find one, they decided to start their own. And thus, Expected Own Goals was born!
